Princess Charlotte

Here's my journal quilt from June 2009. The theme was architecture. I went with the bunny princess, Charlotte's castle. A little like Cinderella's. I photocopied the castle sketch onto muslin fabric and then colored the rest adding her flower garden and Charlotte's picture at the bottom. Green/blue stripey fabric at the top as with the other pieces.

Geometry at it's finest

Here is my journal quilt from March 2009. The theme this month was geometric shapes. pretty random, but I did have lots of fun playing with the different stitches on my machine. Plus, you may notice the blue and green sheer fabric in the top left corner is the same fabric I used in the January journal quilt. I decided to make it a consistent fabric in this series of quilts.

Winter Sunshine

This is a journal quilt - the only rules being that it has to follow the chosen theme and cannot be larger than approximately 8 1/2" X 11". I did this journal quilt last January. The winter weather was really getting to me, so I decided I needed a little sunshine. Journal quilts are a fantastic way to get a little sewing in - when you have time for none. I really should get back into doing these....eventually.
